A child is faced with obstacles
in attempting to adapt to an adult world. At Good Shepherd the
prepared environment has been adapted to the child. All the school
furnishings are sized and arranged to be easily accessible to
the young individual. Dr. Maria Montessori said, "The child
has one intuitive aim: his or her self-development to its fullest
potential."
This allows the child to experience
the joy of learning, the time to enjoy the process of learning, ensure
the development of self esteem and provide the necessary experience from which
the child gains knowledge from a Biblical foundation.
